SIS (Soft Is Strong) - EP
“Back in 2022, thousands of girls across the globe shared one dream – for a spot in HYBE and Geffen Records’ latest project: an unprecedented girl group that would bridge the West and K-pop. Fast forward two years, and after three months of competing in the YouTube reality series The Debut: Dream Academy, Daniela, Lara, Megan, Yoonchae, Sophia and Manon would emerge as the final line-up of the new ”
WILD - EP
“global girl group struggle to find the sweet spot”
WILD - EP
“The global girl group puts off establishing any identity on its new EP, instead continuing its perpetual oscillation between hypersexualized, algorithmic hyper-slop and impossibly bland department-store-aisle pop.”
WILD - EP
“I really wanted to love this EP because I’ve genuinely enjoyed what KATSEYE have done so far, but I’m honestly not loving the direction they’re taking their music. There are some fun moments here, but a lot of the songs feel more focused on being quirky and experimental than actually giving me something I want to replay. I still think they have so much potential, and I’ll always be curious to see where they go next, but I definitely preferred their earlier sound from their first EP.”
SIS (Soft Is Strong) - EP
“KATSEYE’s SIS (Soft Is Strong) is such a fun little debut EP. It’s short, catchy, and gives you a good introduction to their sound without feeling overproduced. “Touch” is easily the standout for me, while “My Way” and “I’m Pretty” show a softer, more vulnerable side of the group. My only complaint is that it’s way too short and just when I’m getting into it, it’s already over. Still, it’s a promising debut that definitely made me curious to see where KATSEYE go next.”
BEAUTIFUL CHAOS EP
“Beautiful Chaos is a polished, easy listen that introduces KATSEYE with confidence and catchy pop moments. While the production shines, the EP plays it a bit safe and doesn’t fully define their unique identity yet. Still, it’s a fun start that shows clear potential and leaves you wanting more.”
