The Stage
“Avenged Sevenfold really divide rock fans. One camp berates them as style-over-substance guyliner-wearing pussies. The other side rates their constant reinvention and epic live shows – even in the face of adversity. And things have been really crap for Avenged. In 2009 their beloved founding member Jimmy ‘The Rev’ Sullivan was found dead from an accidental overdose. A year later they released ”
City of Evil
“Though they dress like goth punks and are currently one of the hottest acts on the Warped Tour, Avenged Sevenfold have evolved since 2001 from a hardcore-influenced screamo outfit into straight-up metalheads. Fiery twin-guitar assaults and complex rhythms dominate their major-label debut, but where City of Evil marks a departure from Avenged’s past is its […]”
Avenged Sevenfold
“These guys excel at the complex, pummeling Eighties-metal moves that first came into circulation when they were in diapers. "Critical Acclaim" is a barnburner built around a half-dozen or so rather dope riffs. Problem is, there’s not much else here beyond the deft instrumental assault: The tunes — or at least whatever M. Nightmare
“**💭 Thoughts:** *Nightmare* is Avenged Sevenfold’s first album without their infamous drummer The Rev after unfortunately passing away a year prior, however, the band manages to maintain the same level of consistency they did throughout their previous albums. This is probably one of if not my favorite A7X album. **🎶 Tracklist Review** 1.) Nightmare 🔵 2.) Welcome to the Family 🔵🥉 3.) Danger Line 🔵 4.) Buried Alive 🔵 5.) Natural Born Killer 🔵🥇 6.) Avenged Sevenfold (Bonus Track Version)
“**💭 Thoughts:** Avenged Sevenfold’s fourth album, self-titled, continues the band’s unbroken streak of good albums. I don’t think there are necessarily any bad songs on here, but I think there are some noticeable flaws throughout, however aside from that, it’s not bad at all. **🎶 Tracklist Review** 1.)
