“I first became familiar with Audrey Hobert because of her songwriting work with Gracie Abrams, so naturally I came into Who’s the Clown? already curious about what Audrey sounds like when the stories, humor, and emotions are completely her own. What surprised me most is how much personality she has as an artist. Who’s the Clown? feels like listening to someone who has absolutely no interest in pretending to have everything figured out. There’s something incredibly refreshing about how Audrey takes awkward relationships, insecurity, loneliness, attraction, overthinking, and all those little embarrassing moments we usually keep to ourselves and turns them into songs that are genuinely funny, catchy, and sometimes surprisingly vulnerable. What I especially love is her songwriting. You can hear why her work connected with me through Gracie, because there’s that same conversational quality where the lyrics feel less like someone is performing a song and more like they’re letting you into their actual thoughts. But Audrey has a much more comedic and chaotic personality in the way she delivers those thoughts. She knows when something is ridiculous, and instead of trying to make herself look cool, she lets herself be the clown. That’s kind of the whole charm of this album. “Sue Me” is probably the perfect example of what makes Audrey so entertaining. It’s catchy, self-aware, a little unhinged, and somehow incredibly relatable. “Bowling Alley” and “Thirst Trap” have that same ability to take something seemingly insignificant and turn it into a memorable story. But I also appreciate the moments when the humor fades a little and you can hear the vulnerability underneath it all. Those moments make the album feel more human than just a collection of funny songs. I also don’t think Who’s the Clown? needs to be taken too seriously to be appreciated. It’s not trying to be the biggest or most technically impressive pop album of the year. Its strength is personality. Audrey has a very distinct voice as a songwriter, and that’s something you can’t manufacture. There are definitely moments where the diaristic approach can feel a little repetitive, and not every song hits me equally. But even when a song doesn’t completely land, I still find myself appreciating the fact that Audrey is willing to be weird, specific, vulnerable, and unapologetically herself. As someone who originally discovered her because of her songwriting with Gracie Abrams, this album made me appreciate Audrey on her own terms. I went in wanting to understand the person behind some of the songwriting I already admired, and I came away thinking she has a really interesting artistic identity of her own. Who’s the Clown? is messy, funny, awkward, vulnerable, and very self-aware but basically the musical equivalent of being in your head at 2 a.m. and saying the thing you probably shouldn’t say out loud. And honestly? That’s what makes it so much fun.”

“WOW just WOW, a perfect album is all I can say, one of the best debut albums ever only 2 songs that weren't my favorite. Song ratings, -I like to touch people 10/10, it's sort of a weird song but is a very fun opener and it kinda opens a world into being yourself something Audrey loves to show in her music. -Sue me 10/10, I don't care that it's the tik Tok famous one I genuinely love this song, it's just so fun and a great time, I love songs where they sing fast and this is a perfect one, also banger production probably my favorite. -Drive 7.5/10 this one just really didn't stick out to me, it's ok I just feel the chorus kinda goes no where it could be a little bigger. -Wet hair 6/10 probably my least favorite it's ok just not my cup of tea. -Bowling Alley 10/10, I love this song so much and it's really fun and I can sorta relate to it and she kinda shows those emotions amazingly also I love the way it goes from her wanting to go to the bowling alley to wanting to leave to missing it just a full circle moment. -Thirst Trap 10/10 agian just banger after banger, I really love the chorus and production in this one, and also she's just so relatable even though I'm a teenage boy I can still really relate. -Chateau 9/10, I love this one it's a banger and it shows how she can be happy without the fame and all. -Sex and the city 9/10 she just keeps making bangers and love how she takes the title and flips it. -Shooting star 10/10 this song is so upbeat and fun but the lyrics are a lil sad but still amazing. -Don't go back to his ass 8/10, this one has a fun chorus there are just better. -Phoebe 10/10, again she's just so relatable, this song is also so fun and a self love anthem (also loved Malcolms cover) . -Silver Jubilee 10/10, amazing, amazing song!!!! It's such a great closer and banger like genuinely how does she make amazing music”
