“I’ll be honest, Adéla was one of those artists I knew of before I actually knew her music. I’d seen her name pop up constantly through the music influencers I follow on TikTok, and eventually I got curious enough to actually sit down and listen to The Provocateur. And honestly? I’m glad I did. What immediately caught my attention is how unapologetically weird and theatrical this EP is. Adéla clearly isn’t interested in making herself easily digestible, and I think that’s one of the strongest things about The Provocateur. There’s a mixture of electropop, hyperpop, dance-pop and darker electronic production that makes the whole project feel like it’s coming from an artist who already has a very specific vision for herself. “Superscar” was probably the track that made the biggest impression on me. There’s something underneath all the flashy production that feels genuinely vulnerable, and I like when an artist can balance spectacle with something emotionally real. “MachineGirl” is another standout for me because it feels so chaotic in the best possible way. And then you have “SexOnTheBeat,” which is basically Adéla saying, “Yeah, I’m going there,” and honestly, you kind of have to respect the commitment. Is every song perfect? No. There are moments where I felt like the production and provocative image were fighting a little too hard for my attention. Some of the hyperpop influences can also feel familiar if you listen to a lot of newer pop artists. But even when I wasn’t completely sold on a particular moment, I was still interested in what Adéla was doing and that’s important. Because The Provocateur doesn’t feel like a debut from someone desperately trying to figure out what kind of artist she wants to be. It feels more like someone throwing everything onto the table and saying, “This is me. Take it or leave it.” I came into this EP knowing Adéla mostly because TikTok music people kept talking about her. I left feeling like I actually understood why they were talking about her. It’s messy, bold, campy, experimental and occasionally a little too much, but I’d honestly take an artist being too much over being forgettable any day. Not a perfect debut, but definitely one that made me curious about what Adéla does next. And considering I originally only knew her name because of TikTok, that’s probably the biggest compliment I can give it.”

“I first became aware of Adéla through TikTok, where I kept seeing her pop up and hearing little pieces of her music. So when PRIMA came out, I was curious to finally sit down and hear what she could do with a full project. I honestly think this is a really fun introduction to Adéla as an artist. There’s a lot of personality throughout the album, and I like that she isn’t afraid to be playful, dramatic, vulnerable, and a little chaotic all at once. Songs like “Starving Artist,” “KGB,” “Fantasize,” and “Boys” really stood out to me and gave me those moments where I immediately wanted to run them back. What I appreciate most is that PRIMA feels like Adéla figuring out exactly what kind of pop artist she wants to be. Not every song hits me the same way, and I can understand why some people might prefer the more experimental side of her earlier music, but there’s something exciting about hearing an artist develop in real time. I went into this as someone who basically knew Adéla from TikTok, and I came out of it feeling like I actually understand her as an artist a little more. PRIMA isn’t perfect, but it’s catchy, ambitious, entertaining, and definitely makes me curious about what she does next.”

“Es una buena entrada de plano a la industria pero realmente no es algo que vuela la cabeza aunque puede que con más escuchadas me guste mucho más porque no es malo solo que es diferente y con eso no me refiero a que esperaba una secuela de su ep pero si está muy distanciado de las expectativas que tenía de este álbum, es bastante bueno para ser un debut pero si hubiera sido un proyecto de intermedio la verdad no había mucho que decir sobre el mismo.”
