β**π Thoughts:** Nu-metal legends Slipknotβs 2004 studio album *Vol. 3 The Subliminal Verses* has the band maintaining their relentless aggression while exploring softer textures through acoustic guitars and cleaner vocals. Nothing on this album really blew me away, and I found it be a let down considering the excellence of *Iowa* and self-titledβtheir previous two records. Lots of skips, however, there are also several memorable tracks, such as the iconic βDuality.β
