“Since I really started paying attention to Ella Langley after she blew up this past summer with Dandelion, listening to hungover feels like getting a better sense of the artist behind all the recent attention. I like how she leans into that messy, emotional side of country without making it feel overly polished or manufactured. There’s heartbreak, attitude, and a little bit of that “I probably shouldn’t be doing this, but here we are” energy throughout.
It’s not an album that completely blew me away, but I definitely understand the appeal. Ella has a personality in her music that makes you want to keep listening, and hungover made me even more curious about where she goes next.”
