“Gibbs doesn't quite match the variance of flows from the original Alfredo, but there's plenty to enjoy”
“On the followup to the pair’s 2020 collaboration, Gibbs sounds unusually animated. The album is an effective demonstration of the rapper’s formalist technique—and prickly personality.”
“While it starts to feel a bit samey toward the end, Alfredo 2 is still a pretty satisfying sequel.”
“Alfredo 2 shows that Freddie Gibbs is a legit rapper with legit talent. Oh and alchemist is one of the best producers to date. Freddie Gibbs lyrics are all about drugs, being black and rich, and squeezing Akedemics titties, that fat bastard. The production feels like being in a restaurant while eating some of the best food you had in a while, all while it’s raining hard outside but knowing you’re cozy inside. That’s alchemists emotional production for you. The flaws is that the album as a whole tends to drag and it’s not much different from Alfredo. But otherwise. Not much problems. If you like good flow, and 5 star production by Alchemist AND enjoyed Alfredo. You should listen to Alfredo 2”
“Alfredo 2 is the sequel to the highly successful Alfredo and in my opinion it’s even better from a more consistent track layout to the better production, Freddie Gibbs gives an even better performance and it really makes this album even more special, some tracks have incredible features and a flow that just work incredibly well.”
“It doesn’t differ much from Alfredo 1. While there’s some repetition, it’s still a solid project.”
“Consistently great, chilled out production paired with the great rap performance and lyrics.”
