β**π Thoughts:** The soundtrack for the 2001 survival-horror game *Silent Hill 2*, composed and produced by Akira Yamaoka, is easily one of the best written soundtracks of all of time. It blends dark ambient, industrial, trip-hop, alternative rock, and slow piano melodies into a soundtrack that can not only be played on its own, but works extremely well within context of the video game.
