“B’Day is one of those Beyoncé albums that instantly takes me back. I grew up listening to Destiny’s Child, so watching Beyoncé step fully into her solo career was already exciting, but B’Day really felt like her coming into her own as a solo artist. What I love most is how confident and energetic this album feels. “Déjà Vu,” “Irreplaceable,” “Ring the Alarm,” and “Upgrade U” still hit, but the whole album has this raw, almost unapologetic energy that makes it so much fun to revisit. It’s Beyoncé being bold, emotional, sassy, and completely in control. Coming from the Destiny’s Child era, it was cool seeing her evolve from being part of a group I grew up with into this powerhouse solo artist. B’Day feels like a major part of that transition, and honestly, it still holds up really well. It’s Beyoncé doing what Beyoncé does best…giving you attitude, vocals, hooks, and just enough drama to keep you coming back.”
