“For some bands, an EP is simply an appetizer for the eventual full-length-- one or two examples of their best material, some filler, and maybe a cover tune thrown in to give listeners a ready-made reference point. But for other bands, the EP provides a perfect dose of what they have to offer. New York's Elk City fit in the latter category. Their music, while lush and often captivating, gets tiring”
