“I’m impressed. He’s talented. My first impression was his Strictly 4 the scythe project with its MULTIPLE features. So truly it wasn’t the best impression for me. Good project, but I was still very oblivious to Denzel’s rapping ability. ii colored me impressed. The 90s rap production (which I found on the level of The Alchemist) from Kenny is the parkour course for a rapper, giving Denzel pretty much the the freedom to mess around as much as he wants. Denzel felt unique on every track. Not anything ground breaking but definitely above par and knows how to make great hooks. But flow he takes the cake rapping dynamics wise. Very solid and great project. I can tell he was truly pouring time into this project while Strictly 4 the Scythe most definitely was a side project with ASAP FERG, Tiacorine and BKtherula.”
“Project: #044 of 2026 Title: ii Artist: Denzel Curry & Kenny Beats This project feels warm with it's main backbone of the sampling, which has been selected perfectly for the sound it serves. The rapping is also very strong alongside that. There isn't much to write for this other than the fact it is very consistent and there aren't any major flaws, very enjoyable listen. Also another thing to note is that the album loops which is nice, which is how I listened to the album 3 times in a row by accident, first time with my notes app open and track ratings being put down, then a relisten to see if I missed anything then it just looped and I accidentally listened a 3rd time. FAVOURITES: CROWN, CANDLELIGHT, PRODUCT, UPS, COLD NIGHT IN HELL LEAST FAVOURITES: N/A Simplified rating: 9-10/10”
“Thought it was gonna be an aoty contender off of the first song, but there was a bit of a dip in quality in some tracks. Loved “GONE FISHING”, “PRODUCT”, and “CROWN”, and the rest of the songs were still pretty solid, but not extraordinary. A wsg feature is always nice”
