“#47: Rubber Soul by The Beatles Definitely a groundbreaking album for the time. Wouldn’t say it reaches the level of pioneering that an album like “In the Court of the Crimson King” did per se, but it shows elements that hadn’t been seen just yet (it is The Beatles after all). Allegedly the album was named Rubber Soul as an homage to the term “plastic soul”, which is what The Beatles felt as compared to the African-American soul artists they were inspired by. Good album overall!”
