β**π Thoughts:** Just under half a decade since 2004βs *Vol. 3 The Subliminal Verses*, Slipknot released *All Hope Is Gone*, a record that has the band taking on more of a groove metal sound whilst still heavily maintaining elements of their signature nu-metal/alt-metal sound. This is a huge step from their previous record, as this album as a whole feels significantly more memorable, experimental, and interesting.
