“Having never been a particular fan of her music before, it was Something Beautiful that managed to draw me in, and for the first time truly appreciate the narrative she was expressing through such an amazingly cohesive concept album. It was one of my Top 3 albums of 2025, a truly unexpected gem - that was sadly slated by critics, and even by some of her most loyal fans. For the 2 weeks leading up to Bass Persuades album release, I didn't have high expectations, although the title track really intrigued me for what was to come. After the first listen - I felt quite mislead. I was truly hoping for some more "bangers" - excuse the unintentional pun. The album feels messy - perhaps like a mix of all the genres she has experimented with in the past. Dance Pop. Ballad. Soft Rock. Ballad. Country. Electro. Ballad. It lacks the cohesiveness that Something Beautiful captivated so perfectly. I shouldn't compare albums so definitavely - but as mentioned, going from her being someone that features somewhere in the background of my algorithm, to SB being one of my most played albums last year, it's hard not to. I feel like this release was perhaps just a marketing move, as opposed to it being a "new era". Something Beautiful should have been an era with more longevity, which would then have given her and the team more time to plan and produce something more meaningful... than just 9 tracks and a remix. Stand out tracks: Bass Persuades and REDLIGHTS.”
“Me parece un álbum muy interesante de escuchar no tiene nada que ver con su anterior álbum, pero tiene sonidos algo diferentes y algunas baladas que no están mal pero no son de mi gusto , pero me parece muy buen álbum.”
“I like the sound of the album but at the same time I’m genuinely like who is Miley as an artist bc I’m not even sure she knows atp the last few albums just feel like pick a random genre and hope it lands”
