“Their LP was only released two days ago but these Sheffield teens are already considered the UK’s biggest new band since Oasis.”
“**💭 Thoughts:** Arctic Monkeys’ 2006 debut album *Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not* is a fast, aggressive, and punchy indie rock album born out of the 2000s British post-punk revival. While this record has its merits, its relentless energy and formulaic songwriting makes it feel quite one-dimensional. That being said, there are still a handful of pretty good tracks throughout the album, like “Riot Van,” which stands out by differing from the rest of the record with its slower pace and softer, more relaxed feel. **🎶 Tracklist Review** 1.)
