“Harry turns his relationship woes and existential musings into dance floor fodder”
“Since Harry Styles’ last album, 2022’s ‘Harry’s House’, the pop superstar has made some changes in his life. That record arrived amid a period of constant gossip and speculation around his personal life, and in the years since, he’s tried to wrest back control of his privacy, using his time off to travel and find a new pace. Where, four years ago, it felt like barely a day went by without a blind ”
“The pop megastar is in search of love, ecstasy, enlightenment, and all sorts of fun on a fourth album that subverts expectations and gets weird in delightful ways”
“Inspired by European clubs, Italian getaways, LCD Soundsystem, and concert crowds, the Grammy-winning popstar sounds like a guest on his own album.”
“Everything about the launch of Harry Styles’s fourth solo album underlines that its author is a very big deal indeed. Record stores in the UK are opening at midnight or first thing in the morning on the day of release, the better for fans to avail themselves of a copy at once. Styles has been announced as curator of this year’s Meltdown festival at London’s Southbank Centre, an honour previously b”
“The decaf dance-pop on Harry Styles’ fourth album is just unremarkable. Even songs about the emptiness of pop stardom succumb to tasteful restraint.”
“As someone who only really started getting into Harry Styles this year, I came in curious but not deeply attached to his catalog. I’ve always known him from One Direction and the big solo hits floating around, but this album feels like a slightly different vibe than I expected. There are moments where the glossy pop and light disco touches really work, and you can hear the charm that’s made Harry such a huge star. Some tracks have that easygoing, stylish energy he’s good at. But as a full album, it can feel a bit uneven…like the aesthetic is strong, but not every song leaves a lasting impression. Still, as a newer fan, it made me appreciate his artistic personality more. It’s not a perfect record, but it’s enjoyable and stylish enough to keep me interested in exploring more of his music.”
“It’s a good album; filled with some bops and other mid songs. Nothing really stands out but it not an unbearable listen. It good for background music. Harry uses some interesting melodies and production in the album. I really like “POP” it one of the good one . But songs like “aperture” fall flat.”
“* Average - 4.48/10 * Playlist adds - 5/12 (3 run/1 upbeat/1 chill) 42% I always think I’m gonna like Harry more than I actually do- at a certain point all the songs blend together and it’s just pop, but still fun”
